A tiny description of this card game:
Who’s a liar liar? We’re about to find that out! This card game is definitely the game of truths and lies. What makes it pretty unique is that it can be played with both family and friends, once if they’re 10 or older. Works best to be played by 3 or more players. The point is that you’ll take turns drawing cards, and tell a fact (not necessarily true) about yourself, related to the card. Once everyone has talked, now you have to guess who said the truth and who lied. It’s okay to be a liar liar!
What sets it apart from Never Have I Ever?
You won’t have to tell if you’ve ever done something or not, the group decides. If there’s someone who knows you best, it’s gonna be easier.

Everyone gets 6 question cards. Whenever it’s your turn, all you gotta do is chose one of these cards and think of the player who’s most likely to answer that question with a yes. If they say so, you discard that card. Whoever discards all their cards first, wins! You may find some extra cards during the gameplay, such as Draw +1, +2, Skip, and All Play, and they’re lovely!
What sets it apart from Never Have I Ever?
You have to guess which player has done something, without getting their opinions first. No one gets to admit things for themselves.

What sets it apart from Never Have I Ever?

The Party Games
As we promised earlier, we’ll now show you some party games similar to Never Have I Ever, which don’t require any special equipment. A group of friends, some stuff you have at home, and some drinks after all. Let’s keep having fun!
1. Most Likely To…
A tiny description of this party game:
No, we’re not talking about the card game, human! This is a party game where you don’t need cards at all. Just a bunch of friends. Sit on a circle, on the floor, or the table so you can all see each other. The main question should be: Who’s most likely to… followed by any action of scenario. Make sure you read our 225 Question Ideas to make your job easier. Next, after someone makes the question, everyone gets to vote for who they think is related to the question best. Optionally, the most voted person drinks.
What sets it apart from Never Have I Ever?
Everyone gets to vote for you, while you won’t say a word before they announce their votes.
What’s similar to Never Have I Ever?
Both games have to do with extraordinary experiences.
2. Truth Or Dare
A tiny description of this party game:
Everyone knows about Truth Or Dare, we don’t doubt it. Sit somewhere so you can all see each other, and take turns asking questions. First, you ask the other player if they want to answer a question or complete a dare. It can’t be changed afterward. Questions and challenges can be anything you want. Make sure you don’t go past everyone’s limits, so, no one feels uncomfortable. If you want something different, you may consider playing Truth Or Drink, using our Truth Or Drink questions. In this version, you ask someone a question. If they refuse to answer, they got to drink!
What sets it apart from Never Have I Ever?
Besides showing your thoughts and things you’ve been through, you’ll also have to complete challenges.
What’s similar to Never Have I Ever?
At the end of both games, you all know something more about each other than you knew before playing.
3. Speedy Answers
A tiny description of this party game:
While the two previous games work better for larger groups of people, speedy answers work incredibly well even with only 2 people. The idea is that each player makes, let’s say, 10 questions for another player, without them knowing. We recommend you ask questions that can be replied to with short answers. Sit in front of each other, and start asking. The other player should answer as fast as possible, the first thing that comes to their mind. Let’s see how well you can answer when you’re under pressure. You’ll probably talk nonsense…
What sets it apart from Never Have I Ever?
Things you say out loud, may not always be accurate. You’re under pressure. We get that.
What’s similar to Never Have I Ever?
Questions in Never Have I Ever most of the time require short answers: I have or I have never. In Speedy Answers as well, most of the questions should be made for short answering: yes or no, truth, I agree, and so on.
4. Two Truths And One Lie
A tiny description of this party game:
I hope you remember our over-mentioned Two Truths And One Lie! It is one of the party games which bring extra laughs but also requires some concentration. It can be played with as many players as you want, starting from 2. Obviously, the more, the merrier. All you have to do is start saying 3 sentences about yourself, where 2 of them should be true and only 1 should be a lie. The idea is that no one knows which one was the lie, they have to find it themselves. If you want, you may also add some drinks, so, everyone who guesses wrong, takes a shot.
What sets it apart from Never Have I Ever?
You won’t have to tell everyone if you can relate to a specific sentence or not. Everyone should take a guess.
What’s similar to Never Have I Ever?
Everyone gets concentrated while you tell the lie, or while you say I’ve or I’ve never.
5. Pass The Bowl
A tiny description of this party game:
Okay, you probably understood it. You’re gonna need a bowl. Whatever it is, an empty aquarium is something you use to make the salad. It’s all up to you! To play, choose one player who writes some questions and dares on some small paper, and plays some music. Now, start passing the bowl to your left or your right. You continue passing until that one player stops the music. The player who has the bowl when the music stops has to draw a paper, and answer the question or perform the challenge. After completed, the music starts again. The game continues till y’all get bored.
What sets it apart from Never Have I Ever?
Not necessarily everyone has their turn to play. The music determines it, even if someone plays it several times.
What’s similar to Never Have I Ever?
Some truths will be told. In both games. This is how you learn more about your close people (or not so).
6. Would You Rather?
A tiny description of this party game:
What would you rather do between two things? Would You Rather game places you between two situations, scenarios, skills, preferences, and many more things. This is how you get to know each other personalities, things they love or hate, and so on. You may choose one player who makes up the questions and everyone gets to use them, or, everyone simply asks the other player to take turns. Make sure you place two things that are similar to each other, for example: Would you rather date someone 10 years younger OR 10 years older, would you rather adopt a cat OR a dog, etc.
What sets it apart from Never Have I Ever?
There aren’t questions like Yes or No. You necessarily need to pick one of the 2 options.
What’s similar to Never Have I Ever?
Both games help players dive into each other personalities, just by answering questions.
7. Just For A Minute
A tiny description of this party game:
What will you do for just one minute? Well, the idea of this party game is that by taking turns, you’re all given a topic, and you have to talk about it for 1 minute straight. Topics may be anything, even if they sound absurd. It’s about testing what you may talk about anything that you’re asked to. Try to act as if you know tons of things about that topic, even if you don’t. This is how your friends know how well you work under pressure, and how your mind works.
What sets it apart from Never Have I Ever?
There’s more creativity needed than in Never Have I Ever. You won’t have to just give direct answers.
What’s similar to Never Have I Ever?
Either of these two games makes you show your mindset and what your limits are.
8. 20 Questions
A tiny description of this party game:
Here’s one more question game for you, people! What does the 20 have to do with it? Let me tell you, take turns being ‘the player’. That player has to think of one specific item, animal, person, place, celebrity, or anything. All the other players, while making 20 questions, have to find out what that player has in mind. You may start with: is it a human? Is it famous? What does he/she do for a living? and more questions. You aren’t allowed to ask direct questions, such as the name, nickname, or something similar.
What sets it apart from Never Have I Ever?
20 Questions is a bit more intensive than Never Have I Ever. Everyone gets involved, and that player has to say the final word.
What’s similar to Never Have I Ever?
Never Have I Ever & 20 Questions both lead to every player making interesting questions, and also improve creativity skills.
9. Hot Seat
A tiny description of this party game:
No, we’re not talking about the card game. Hot Seat is a party game that allows you to ask each other questions, especially if you never had the chance to. We would recommend you all sit in the circle, and all of you, taking turns, start sitting in the center, on the hot seat! There may be only 10 questions asked to the player on the hot seat. Questions may be anything you want, even personal. If they refuse to answer, optionally, you may ask them to drink. Anyhow, make sure you don’t ask anything too personal or sensitive, for your own best.
What sets it apart from Never Have I Ever?
There won’t be short answers, yes, no, I have, I have never, or something similar. In Hot Seat, you’ll need more detailed questions and answers.
What’s similar to Never Have I Ever?
At some point, both games include intimate questions.
A Wind-Up: Are These Games As Fun As Never Have I Ever?
What we love most about these games is that they give you that feeling of Never Have I Ever, but they also have dozens of unique details. Also, most of them are very flexible when it comes to the number of players. They bring lots of fun, but most importantly, they make you know your people better.
The games we mentioned previously, work amazingly well even as conversation starters, you know, to start the party correctly. We know playing the same game repeatedly may get tiring, so, consider one of the 19 mentioned games. You may improve and add alcohol to almost all of the games if you’re willing to drink a little.
Never have I ever refused to have fun?
